ABOUT YOUDRIC

Youth Development, Research and Innovation Centre (YOUDRIC) is a Ghanaian registered NGO (#G-38,521) that was founded on the belief that development can be effectively achieved and sustained through the active participation of young people in the planning, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development initiatives.

 

Since its inception in October 2010, YOUDRIC has implemented a range of poverty alleviation projects across Ghana and provided a sought after consulting service to NGOs, public and private schools, faith-based organisations, government departments and International Aid Organisations. YOUDRIC has three main focus areas; Education, Health and Livelihoods.

 

YOUDRIC draws on the knowledge of 14 highly skilled Ghanaian core staff and the services of over 600 dedicated volunteers. Strong support from the communities in which the organisation operates, combined with the generosity of local, national and international donors, enables YOUDRIC to design and implement programmes that make a real difference to the lives of young people, their families and communities. We also specialize in the use of social media as a social mobilization tool for advocacy, communication and education.

 

YOUDRIC has focused on building strong relationships with communities and organisations across Ghana and has worked in all the 10 regions of Ghana. YOUDRIC has developed strong partnerships with a variety of stakeholders in the regions and districts.

 

Youth Development, Research and Innovation Centre has strong internal controls in place for quality assurance purposes. In-house, the following systems are in place to ensure that best practices are adhered to in our operations and programming; a robust M&E system, a strong financial management system, highly functional governance system, internal and external audits and a range of policies (Financial Policy, Child Protection Policy, Gender Policy, Staff Code of Ethics, Staff Conditions of Service, and Volunteer Policy) that guide conduct within the organisation.
